Dr. Bob Responds to 2012 Theories

Over 40 years ago, in late 1965, I began to be plagued by horrifying dreams and visions of future calamities on this planet, and I found that the only way I could master them was to express them in my artwork.  My magnum opus along these lines was...Read the full article

Ever since it was announced that Disney and director Robert Zemeckis are planning on a 3-D motion capture remake of The Beatles Yellow Submarine movie (slated for release in time for the London Summer Olympics in 2012), Dr. Bob Hieronimus has been hard at work to see that the original co-creators of this film get some recognition out of this new project. He sent a copy of his book, Inside the Yellow Submarine: The Making of the Beatles Animated Classic, to Zemeckis with the suggestion that at the very least a private preview screening of the remake for the original co-creators would be one way to pay homage to their efforts. Here is the response from the president of Image Movers Digital, and partner of Robert Zemeckis. We will post any further communication we have with this office, in our attempt to ensure the creators of the new film give public acknowledgment to the creators of the original film.

The Lost Symbol : Virgo / the Goddess?

Dan Brown's unforgettable protagonist, Robert Langdon, goes on a twelve-hour adventure through Washington D.C. in The Lost Symbol. The follow-up to The Da Vinci Code is also packed with symbols and secret codes, this time of our nation's capital and the Freemasons who conceived and built it. Dr. Bob had his own theory about what the "Lost Symbol" would be as explained in this except from The United Symbolism of America in the section about symbolism in Washington D.C...more

A portion of the proceeds to benefit Station North Arts & Entertainment, Inc., a nonprofit organization. Dr. Robert R. Hieronimus will demonstrate the Hidden Meanings of Common Symbols in conjunction with a performance by local band TELESMA at The Windup Space on 12 W. North Ave. in Baltimore on Saturday, November 14, 2009, 8 PM. Decoding the reverse of America’s Great Seal as a symbol for the God within and the connection to higher consciousness has been the life work of Hieronimus. (He first contacted the State Department about that mysterious eye and pyramid on the one dollar bill in 1968!) Thanks to the best-selling ability of Dan Brown, tens of millions of readers are now being introduced to Hieronimus’s work in the form of Brown's new novel, The Lost Symbol.

On November 14th, Baltimore music fans and art lovers will hear a personal explanation of how our nation’s most common symbols ultimately point to the same thing: unity, balance, and attaining a state of higher consciousness. Learn how to decipher symbols for yourself. After his presentation, Dr. Hieronimus and assistants will create a symbolic mural to the transformative music of TELESMA (www.TelesmaMusic.com).

Selections of Hieronimus’s 40 years of symbolic art will be on display at The Windup Space from November 1 through December 31, 2009 (opening artist’s reception on Friday November 6 from 7-9 PM). Also on display will be selections from the rock and roll celebrity photographs of Stuart Zolotorow. From Brooks Robinson to Paul McCartney, John Lennon and Willie Nelson, Zolotorow has photographed and published some of the legends of popular music and sports. Cultural heroes and mythology are essential to the health of stable society, and Zolotorow’s photos of our contemporary heroes remind us all to aim for the stars and that our purpose in life is to change the world.
